A. Recreational vehicles and boat trailers may only be parked or stored on single-family residential property. No recreational vehicles or boat trailers may be parked or stored on commercial, industrial or multi-family residential property. Only one recreational vehicle or one boat trailer may be stored on a single property.
B. Recreational vehicle and boat trailer storage and parking shall be permitted only when the vehicle or trailer is owned by a resident of the village of Broadview or a Broadview property owner and then only upon premises which said resident resides upon or upon premises owned by said recreational vehicle or boat trailer owner. Storage of a recreational vehicle or a boat trailer shall not constitute or be part of any business.
C. A recreational vehicle or boat trailer may be parked in a driveway or on a paved or concrete service on single-family residential property for thirty (30) days or less, cumulative. Parking or storage of a recreational vehicle or boat trailer for more than thirty (30) days shall only be permitted in an enclosed garage, shed or permanent enclosed structure. No parking or storage of a recreational vehicle or boat is allowed on grass, gravel, street or public property.
D. Recreational vehicles shall not be used as a dwelling, storage or accessory building. Additionally, parked or stored recreational vehicles or boat trailers shall not be occupied or used for living, sleeping or housekeeping purposes and shall not be connected to sewer, water or electrical service.
E. A recreational vehicle or boat trailer shall not be parked or stored with flammable liquids aboard the trailer or boat in a portable container.
F. No recreational vehicle or boat trailer parked or stored in the village shall exceed:
1. Eleven feet (11') in height, as parked, including trailer, cradle or mount, but excluding mast; or
2. Thirty two feet (32') in length including trailer hitch, tongue and bumpers.
G. No recreational vehicle or boat trailer parked or stored in the village shall be located:
1. Less than three feet (3') from any structure; or
2. Less than three feet (3') from any lot line; or
3. Within any required front yard.
H. Camping trailers and other foldable or collapsible recreational vehicles shall be parked or stored in the same condition as when towed (i.e., folded down). (Ord. 2003-07, 11-3-2003)
