§ 1640.02 WIDTH; MARKINGS AND SIGNS.
   Fire lanes shall be of such width as is reasonably determined by the Chief of the Fire Department to be necessary to permit access and operation of firefighting equipment and personnel and the egress of occupants of buildings and structures. Fire lanes shall be suitably marked by appropriate markings on the ground, or by the display of adequate signs, or both. The markings and signs shall be placed and maintained by the property owner, in the case of private property, in accordance with the color and design as prescribed by the Director of Public Safety. The placement and maintenance of such signs shall be at the sole cost and expense of the owner of the property.
