§ 264.12 LONGEVITY.
   (A)   All employees covered by this chapter shall receive longevity pay at the rate of $9 per month of service after five continuous years of service to a maximum annual longevity pay of $2,160. Longevity pay shall be paid on the employee's anniversary date, or on the employee's next biweekly paycheck.
   (B)   Full-time employees hired prior to January 1, 1996, shall be permitted to include prior full-time employment with the city for purposes of establishing eligibility for longevity and shall not be required to have the five-year requirement on a continuous basis. However, the calculation for the sum of longevity owed such employee shall not consider the prior service, but only the current service period.
   (C)   Notwithstanding the above, incumbent Level 1 employees, hired prior to January 1,1996, shall, after five continuous years of service, receive longevity pay at the rate of $10 per month of employment, not to exceed $3,500. Employees appointed to Level 1 positions after January 1, 1996, shall after five consecutive years of service, receive longevity pay at the rate of $10 per month of employment, not to exceed $2,160.
   (D)   Incumbent Level 2 employees, hired prior to January 1, 1996, shall receive, after five continuous years of service, receive longevity pay at the rate of $10 per month of employment, not to exceed $2,500. Employees appointed to Level 2 positions after January 1, 1996, shall after five consecutive years of service, receive longevity pay at the rate of $10 per month of employment, not to exceed $2,160.
