§ 264.10 FUNERAL LEAVE.
   In case of the death of an employee’s family member, including spouse, child, parent, brother, sister, step-parent, grandparent, father-in-law, mother-in-law, or grandparent, that employee shall be granted three days of funeral leave without loss of pay, benefits, days off, holiday, vacation or sick leave, to attend the funeral or memorial service of the decedent. If time beyond the three days is necessary, the employee may request such additional time as the department head may grant at his or her discretion, to which the employee may apply sick, holiday, compensatory and/or vacation time as the employee may have accumulated.
