§ 1328.13 TEMPORARY SIGNS IN NONRESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS.
   The following regulations for temporary signs in nonresidential districts are in addition to the maximum sign area set forth in this chapter.
   (A)   Temporary signs may be ground signs or window signs.
   (B)   The area of a temporary window sign shall not exceed 20% of the total transparent glass area of the window total area in which the sign is placed.
   (C)   The total maximum number and area permitted for temporary ground signs shall be regulated based on the district in which the lot is located.
      (1)   In Zoning Districts C1 and C2, a maximum of one ground sign per parcel shall be permitted provided the total area of all temporary signs shall not exceed eight square feet per parcel.
      (2)   In Zoning District C3, a maximum of one ground sign per parcel shall be permitted provided the total area of all temporary signs shall not exceed 16 square feet per parcel.
      (3)   In Zoning District C4, no ground signs shall be permitted. Window temporary signs shall not exceed 16 square feet per parcel.
      (4)   In Zoning Districts D and E, a maximum of two ground signs per parcel shall be permitted provided the total area of all temporary ground signs shall not exceed 20 square feet per parcel.
      (5)   In SPD A and B, a maximum of one ground sign shall be permitted provided the total area does not exceed 16 square feet in area.
   (D)   Temporary signs secured to surfaces other than windows of the main building are prohibited.
   (E)   Temporary ground signs shall have a maximum height of five feet and shall be located a minimum distance from the public right-of-way that is equal to the height of the sign.
   (F)   Vacant parcels in nonresidential districts shall be permitted one temporary sign that may be erected for an unspecified time. The permitted sign area shall be 20 square feet.
   (G)   Temporary signs that are erected in order to announce or advertise a specific event shall be removed within two days after the close of such event and limited to three 30-day periods within a calendar year and shall not exceed 20% per window pane.
   (H)   Temporary signs and sign location, for new tenants or new businesses, approved by the Building Commissioner, shall be permitted for a period of 30 days.
