§ 244.06 PERSONNEL; DUTIES; HOURS.
   (A)   The Chief of Police shall be under the direction of the Director of Public Safety. The Chief of Police shall be the executive head of the Police Department. In his or her absence from duty or incapacity, the next ranking member of the Police Department shall act as Chief of Police. He or she shall be subject to call to duty at all times and shall be on active duty 40 hours each week.
   (B)   The Lieutenant of Police shall be on active duty 40 hours each week and be subject to call to duty at all times.
   (C)   The Sergeants of Police shall be subject to call to duty at all times.
   (D)   Patrol officers shall be subject to duty at all times and shall be classified as follows:
      (1)   Patrol officer First Class - Patrol officers serving more than two years;
      (2)   Patrol officer Second Class - Patrol officers serving from one year to two years; and
      (3)   Patrol officer Third Class - Patrol officers serving their 12-month probationary period before permanent appointment.
   (E)   The policewoman shall be subject to call to duty at all times.
   (F)   There shall be part-time patrol officers.
   (G)   There shall be a Police Matron Clerk.
   (H)   There shall be dispatchers.
   (I)   There shall be school traffic guards.
   (J)   There shall be auxiliary police.
   (K)   There shall be a Police Dispatcher Clerk Jail Guard.
   (L)   There shall be a Dog Warden.
   (M)   The number of personnel for each position provided in this section shall be determined by Council.
