§ 242.02 RESCUE SQUAD.
   (A)   There is hereby established a charge, to be consistent with the usual and customary charge amount set forth by the Federal Medicare Program and to be determined by the Fire Chief, for each transporting run made by the Rescue Squad which is under the supervision of the Fire Department.
   (B)   Every person using the services of the Rescue Squad or the guardian of such person shall be liable for the payment of such charge unless waived by the Fire Chief.
   (C)   The city will provide ambulance emergency squad services in exchange for an assignment of insurance company proceeds available to the user, whether a resident or nonresident, provided that the user shall be responsible to pay any amount of the cost of said services in excess of the insurance payments received.
   (D)   The Mayor is authorized to enter into an agreement with a company that will provide electronic claims filing systems for the purpose of collecting insurance proceeds indicated in division (C) hereof.
