§ 1024.01 REPAIR AND CONSTRUCTION; PERMIT REQUIRED; APPLICATION FOR PERMIT.
   (A)   No sidewalk shall be improved or constructed as herein provided, nor shall any sidewalk be repaired or re-laid, unless a permit for so doing has first been obtained from the Building Commissioner.
   (B)   The application for the permit herein required shall specify the owner of the property in front of which the sidewalk is to be laid and the sublot and house numbers thereof or, where no such numbers have been established, adequate measurements identifying the location.
   (C)   A sidewalk permit shall be obtained for each continuous strip of new sidewalk constructed, i.e., any continuous strip of any number of lots to be graded, formed and poured in one continuous operation requiring two inspection trips.
   (D)   The purpose of the permit is to control uniform quality of sidewalk construction in accordance with the city sidewalk standards and specifications.
   (E)   Services rendered by the city for such permits shall be the keeping of established street profile plats and sidewalk standards and specifications available to the owner, contractor, engineer or surveyor, to stake out and build sidewalks to the established line and grade.
