§ 1023.03 CONSTRUCTION SPECIFICATIONS FOR ACCESS DRIVEWAYS AND APRONS.
   (A)   All access driveways and aprons shall be constructed with a hard surface.
   (B)   A hard surface shall be deemed to be any of the following:
      (1)   Concrete; or
      (2)   Asphalt.
   (C)   Concrete quality, proportioning, mixing, finishing, curing, joints, isolation joints, time and temperature of pour should follow the ACI 318 manual. Isolation joint material thickness shall be one-half inch in thickness and shall match the depth/thickness of the pour. The driveway thickness shall be a minimum four inches on a four-inch base of approved tamped fill base or undisturbed earth. Aprons thickness shall be six inches on a four-inch base of approved tamped fill base or undisturbed earth. Reinforcing can be with steel bar, wire mesh or fiber mesh. The contractor shall provide access to a batch plant delivery tickets if requested by the Building Official. This report should include the specifications of the concrete, batch report(s), time and temperature, address of the project and the name of the concrete supplier and contractor installing the concrete.
