As used in this chapter:
“Clearing.” The cutting and/or removal by other means of any tree, which cutting or removal is not included in the definition of “logging” below.
“Logging.” The cutting and/or removal by other means of any tree for exchange, in consideration of any money or other thing of value, to any person other than the landowner. For purposes of this chapter, any cutting and/or removal involving exchange shall be considered “logging”, regardless of whether or not such removal also accomplishes another purpose.
“Logging operator.” A contractor who performs logging.
“Permit holder.” A landowner on whose property logging is performed and who has secured a permit therefor pursuant to this chapter.
“Tree.” Is defined as six inches in diameter, as calipered four feet above natural grade.
