If the Chief of Police has reason to believe that any mechanical amusement device is used as a gambling device, such device may be seized by the police and impounded. If, as the result of a trial of an exhibitor for allowing such device to be used as a gambling device, the exhibitor is found guilty, such device shall be destroyed by the police.
