§ 71.02 QUALIFICATIONS, APPOINTMENT, TERM AND REMOVAL OF MUNICIPAL ADMINISTRATIVE JUDGE.
   The Municipal Administrative Judge shall be an elector of the county and a member of the bar in good standing. He or she shall be appointed by the Town Council for a term of one year commencing January 4, 1977, and may thereafter be reappointed for additional one-year terms by a majority vote of the Town Council. He or she may be suspended or removed from office by four-fifths vote of the Town Council. The Town Council shall fill any vacancy in this office for the unexpired term; and it shall also appoint members of the state bar, having the qualifications prescribed in this section for the Administrative Judge as Judges Ad Litem to serve whenever the Municipal Administrative Judge is temporarily unable to serve in any manner coming before the traffic infractions administrative hearing, whether from absence, illness, disqualification or any other cause. Any person so appointed shall for the duration of his appointment be barred from practicing before the hearing.
