§ 32.46 TRAINING COURSE.
   Special police officers, prior to entering upon any of their duties, shall take and complete a 40-hour course of training in the use of weapons and other police procedures as directed by the Village Chief of Police. All such training shall be completed by each special police officer within six months from the date of employment. No special police officers shall be permitted to carry a weapon until the mandatory training has been completed. Upon completion of the course of training, the applicant shall take such written and oral tests and examination as the Village Chief of Police prescribes. The Chief shall file a certificate attesting to the special police officer’s satisfactory completion of said tests with the Village Clerk.
