§ 32.45 APPOINTMENT; INVESTIGATION; TERM.
   (A)   Appointment. The Mayor shall, with the advice and consent of the Board of Trustees, appoint special police officers as employees of the village; said number of special police not to exceed 15 in number.
   (B)   Background check. Prior to appointment, all proposed special police officers shall be fingerprinted, and their fingerprints shall be checked with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Washington, D.C., for any possible criminal record. No person shall be appointed as a special police officer if he or she has been convicted of a felony or other crime involving moral turpitude.
   (C)   Term. The appointment of any special police officers shall terminate at the discretion of the Mayor, with the advice and consent of the Village Board.
