§ 31.17 COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS; DUTIES.
   All compensation set forth herein shall become effective at the first meeting after the April 2021 municipal election.
   (A)   The salary for said Clerk for the administrative and Police Department duties performed on behalf of the village shall be $36,000 per year, with payments to be made on a semimonthly basis.
   (B)   The administrative duties of the Clerk shall generally include:
      (1)   Spending a minimum of seven hours per day, Monday through Friday of each week, at the Village Municipal Building;
      (2)   Attend all regular and special meetings of the Village Board of Trustees;
      (3)   Perform duties on behalf of the Water and Sewer Department, when needed; and
      (4)   All statutory, regular, and routine duties normally expected and required of a Village Clerk.
   (C)   The Police Department duties of the Clerk shall generally include:
      (1)   Clerical work; and
      (2)   Dispatching on behalf of the Village Police Department.
   (D)   (1)   The Village Clerk, in the performance of administrative and Police Department duties set out herein, shall be entitled to fringe benefits as in effect for all other employees of the village at the same payroll deductible contribution rates as established for all the other non-union employees.
      (2)   The village retains the right to change health insurance programs, insurance carriers, level of benefits, and amounts of employee payroll deducted contributions at any time and for any reason. Said benefits presently include health insurance and IMRF.
   (E)   For the performance of regular and routine Clerk duties and clerical and dispatching on behalf of the Police Department, the Village Clerk shall be entitled to a salary increase of 3% annually during the Clerk’s term of office.
