§ 50.59 WATER DEPOSIT; REFUND CONDITIONS.
   (A)   Application for service; deposit required. The Public Works Manager shall be empowered to collect a water meter deposit in the sum of $120 at the time any person applies for water service from the village municipal water system.
   (B)   Refund policy.
      (1)   The Public Works Manager shall be empowered to refund the water deposit to any person who is current with his or her account with the Village Water and Sewer Department, upon the occasion of said customer terminating his or her service with the village because of moving or cancellation of service.
      (2)   The Public Works Manager shall be empowered to refund the water deposit to any person who was late with only one payment out of 12 consecutive months of regular water service for good cause. This power shall be discretionary on the part of the Public Works Manager.
   (C)   Impose increased deposit for numerous delinquencies. The Public Works Manager shall be empowered to impose an increased water deposit in the event any person is delinquent in making monthly water service payments numerous times and in the event the Public Works Manager believes that the water deposit should be increased. The Public Works Manager may increase the water deposit to any sum up to a maximum of $100.
