The Emergency Manager shall ensure compliance with the National Incident Management System (NIMS) standardized procedures for managing personnel, communications, facilities and resources. NIMS compliance will improve the city’s ability to utilize federal funding to enhance local readiness, maintain responder safety and streamline incident management processes. The Incident Command System components of NIMS are integral to various incident management activities, including emergency management training programs.
