The Utah Criminal and Traffic Code, 2023 Edition, and subsequent additions, as compiled, prepared and published as a code in book form by the state’s Department of Public Safety and as said uniform code may be subsequently amended by legislative act, executive order or otherwise, is hereby approved and adopted as the Criminal and Traffic Codes for the municipality, except as such codes may be altered or modified by the ordinances of the municipality. One copy of any subsequent editions shall be filed for use and examination by the public in the office of the Municipal Recorder upon receipt by the city and, upon such filing, said subsequent editions shall, thereupon, become effective and shall thereafter be the Criminal and Traffic Codes for the city.
