(A) (1) The Chief of Police or his or her designee shall create and administer a rotation list comprised of those towing companies who comply with all the terms of this city code, applicable city administrative policy, and are authorized to respond to calls for service by the Police Department.
(2) One slot on the rotation list shall be given to each compliant company.
(3) To ensure fair distribution of calls for service, however, companies with different names, but which utilize the same employees, trucks, business offices or impound yards shall be treated as one company for purposes of the rotation list, and shall only have one slot on the list.
(B) A company desiring to be placed on the city’s Police Department tow rotation list shall provide the following to the city’s Police Department: a signed (electronically) letter acknowledging acceptance of the related city administrative policy.
(C) Once a company meets the requirements stated above and agrees to comply with the standards established in the administrative policy, the company will be placed on the city’s Police Department tow rotation list.
