§ 50.076 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   BIDIRECTIONAL METERING. A system of measuring the difference between the electricity supplied by Brigham City Public Power and the electricity generated by an eligible distributed energy resource system and delivered onto the electric grid over the applicable billing period.
   CITY. Brigham City Corporation, Utah.
   CUSTOMER. A city residential or business electrical customer that generates distributed energy resources, on the customer’s side of the meter and receives an electric utility bill from the city.
   CUSTOMER-GENERATING FACILITY. The generating equipment used by an electrical customer to generate, manage and monitor electricity. A CUSTOMER-GENERATING FACILITY typically includes an electric generator and/or an interconnect equipment package, as defined herein.
   DISTRIBUTED ENERGY RESOURCES. All resources close to or at the point of demand which can include renewable technologies (photovoltaic cells, wind turbines and energy storage options) and fossil technologies (fuel cells, micro-turbines, internal combustion engines and Stirling engines).
   DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM. The portion of the city’s electric system which delivers electricity from transformation points on the transmission system to points of connection at a customer’s premises.
   IEEE STANDARD. The standards published by the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers.
   INVERTER. A device that converts direct current power into alternation current power that is compatible with power generated or supplied by Brigham City Public Power.
   NEC. The most current version of the National Electrical Code, respectively.
   NESC. The most current version of the National Electrical Safety Code, respectively.
   UL STANDARD. The standards published by the Underwriters Laboratory.
