(A) This subchapter sets forth requirements for the interconnection of customer electric generating facilities, including those that generate renewable energy, within the city’s electric distribution systems.
(B) The program is available on a first-come, first-served basis to customers located within the city’s current service area who own and operate a solar, wind, hydro or biomass electric generator located on the customer’s premises, with the following conditions:
(1) The use of such generation is intended to offset part or all of the customer’s own electrical requirements;
(2) Generation cannot exceed a capacity of 10 kW for residential and not more than a net alternating current (AC) output equal to 100% of a customer’s annual peak demand in kilowatts or 1,000 kilowatts, whichever is less for commercial or industrial customers;
(3) Customer’s system is interconnected with the city’s electric system; and
(4) Operates in parallel with the city’s distribution system.
