§ 91.056 BURIAL PERMIT.
   (A)   A 24-hour notice is required for burials. Before burying the body of any deceased person in the city cemetery, there shall be procured from the sexton a permit to bury the deceased person in such lot, block and plat as may be designated. Permit fees as established by resolution of the City Council will be assessed and collected by the sexton. Special requests or requirements may be handled with the cemetery sexton. Vaults are required for all casket burials. Vaults shall be of concrete, steel or other structurally sound material as approved by the cemetery sexton.
   (B)   It is normal practice to allow only one burial per space; however, double burials can be accommodated provided one of the deceased has been cremated.
   (C)   Burials will not be permitted on Sunday, observed city holidays, the Saturday before Memorial Day or the Friday and Saturday of Peach Days.
   (D)   Designated areas on the cemetery plats are set aside for interment of infants. No remains, other than those of infants, shall be permitted in those designated areas.
   (E)   Fees for cemetery services may be changed from time to time by resolution of the City Council.
