For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
ACADEMY. All of the city-owned property comprising Brigham Academy Center, located at 58 North Main, Brigham City, which shall include all of its facilities, portico and grass area.
CITY. The corporate municipal entity known as “Brigham City Corporation”.
CITY HALL. All of the city owned property comprising Brigham City Hall, located at 20 North Main, Brigham City, which shall include all of its facilities.
COMMUNITY CENTER. All of the city-owned property comprising Brigham City Community Center, located at 24 North 300 West, Brigham City which shall include all of its facilities.
FIRE STATION. All of the City owned property comprising Brigham City Fire Station at 442 West Forest, Brigham City, which shall include all of its facilities.
GOVERNMENTAL AGENCY. A governmental agency is an executive, legislative or judicial agency, department, board, commission, authority, institution or instrumentality of the federal government or of a state or of a county, municipality or other political subdivision of the state.
LIBRARY. All of the City owned property comprising the Brigham City Library, located at 26 East Forest, Brigham City, which shall include all of its facilities.
OTHER BRIGHAM CITY FACILITIES. All other city facilities not listed herein are not intended to be rented or scheduled for private events.
OUTDOOR POOL. All of the city-owned property comprising the Brigham City Outdoor Pool contained within the fenced perimeter, located at 740 West Forest, Brigham City, which shall include all of its facilities.
PARK BOWERY. The facilities located in the following city parks: Davis Park, Horsley, John Adams, Rotary Constitution, Rees Pioneer, Lindsay, Mary E. Christensen and Watkins; consisting of the bowery, tables and volleyball standards (where applicable).
RENTAL AGREEMENT. A written agreement between the city and a person which gives rise to a new or renewed relationship of landlord and tenant or lessor and lessee for use of city facilities.
SERVICE CLUB. A service club or service organization is a voluntary non-profit organization where members meet regularly to perform charitable works either by direct hands-on efforts or by raising money for other organizations. A SERVICE CLUB is defined firstly by its service emission and secondly by its membership benefits, such as social occasions, networking and personal growth opportunities encourage involvement.
STANDARDS. The qualifications established herein, as amended from time to time by the City Council, setting forth the minimum requirements to be met as a condition for the right to use city facilities.
