§ 30.017 APPOINTMENTS AND REMOVALS OF OFFICERS BY MAYOR.

   (A)   The following enumerated positions constituting directors, personal staff, Police or Fire Department appointments and/or department heads shall serve at the pleasure of the Mayor and City Council:

      (1)   City Administrator;

      (2)   City Attorney;

      (3)   City Recorder;

      (4)   City Treasurer;

      (5)   Community Development Director;

      (6)   Economic Development Director;

      (7)   Fire Chief;

      (8)   Finance Director;

      (9)   Human Resource Director;

      (10)   Police Chief;

      (11)   Police Commander(s);

      (12)   Public Power Director;

      (13)   Public Works Director;

      (14)   Information Technology Director; and

      (15)   Executive Assistant.

   (B)   The above-named positions shall be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the City Council. The Mayor, with the concurrence of the Council, may appoint deputies to any appointed office. All appointed officers and deputies shall serve at the pleasure of the Mayor and Council and may be removed without cause, by a majority vote of the Council.

   (C)   The above-listed positions shall not limit in any manner any other classification of employees listed.
