§ 90.016 ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICIALS; POWERS AND DUTIES.
   (A)   (1)   Any person employed by the Division of Animal Control as an Animal Control Officer shall take the oath of office and shall be vested with the power and authority to enforce this chapter.
      (2)   The Animal Control Officers or assistants are hereby authorized and empowered to apprehend and take with them and impound any animal found in violation of this chapter, and all other duties prescribed in the enforcement of this chapter.

   (B)   (1)   In the performance of his or her duties, the Animal Control Officer is hereby vested with the power and authority of that office, within the city’s Police Department.
      (2)   Badges of authority shall be issued by the city’s Police Department or officers having received and been sworn to the oath of office.
