§ 51.10 FIRE SUPPRESSION.
   (A)   Fees for water taps for fire suppression only. The city shall initially pay for the costs and materials for tapping the main up to the utility customer’s property line or valve stop. No person other than the Director of Public Works or his or her designate shall tap the water main. The utility customer shall pay a tapping fee of $300 and shall pay for the cost of materials for the tap, including tap, pipe and valve, for all taps that are required solely for fire suppression and/or sprinkler systems. The utility customer, at his or her sole expense, shall pay to bring the tap from the property line, or valve stop, to the premise.
   (B)   Repairs and maintenance relating to water lines solely for the purpose of fire suppression. The city shall repair or replace, as the case may be, all supply and valves up to the property line or valve stop. The utility customer shall, at his or her own expense, be responsible for the repair and replacement of the fire suppression line from the valve stop to the premises.
   (C)   Fire suppression water lines monthly rate and metering. The city shall not meter or charge a monthly fee for water lines that are installed and maintained solely for the purpose of fire suppression.
