§ 33.11 POLICE PATROL OFFICER LEVEL ONE.
   (A)   The full-time position of police patrol officer level one is created in the Village Police Department. This position will be the lowest ranking full-time position on the Police Department and will perform such duties within the Police Department as assigned by the Police Chief. The position shall be filled in accordance with village codified ordinances as well as completing an applicable psychological exam, drug test and background check, all at village expense, and R.C. § 737.16 guidelines, and his or her employment as a village police officer shall be in accordance with village codified ordinances, and any applicable Ohio Revised Code guidelines. Said person shall have successfully completed a training program recognized by the state, such as the Ohio Peace Officers’ Basic Training Program, and have such certification. Compensation will be set by Council as well as all benefits accorded all full-time village personnel. The new hire will serve a six-month probationary period.
   (B)   The employment of the full-time police patrol officer level one provides the minimum of an additional 40 hours of manpower to the Police Department each week. The Police Chief is directed to provide the average of three hours per day, Monday through Friday, of these additional hours to the Fairless School District for use at the three Schools on Navarre Road SW. These hours can be provided by the use of any of the full-time officers, and said duties to be provided will be created through the agreement of the Fairless Superintendent, the Police Chief and the Mayor.
