§ 33.09 TRAINING OFFICER.
   (A)   The position of Training Officer is hereby created for the Village Police Department with the following duties:
      (1)   To requalify village police officers for the state’s annual firearms certification; and
      (2)   To conduct monthly in-house training classes instructing and advising village police officers of changes in applicable law and law enforcement techniques.
   (B)   Compensation for the position of Training Officer shall be set by Council and shall be in addition to the appointed officer’s regular compensation.
   (C)   The Training Officer shall be appointed by Council, with the advice of the Mayor and Police Chief, for an initial term of no more than one year, and for so long a term thereafter as Council may from time to time determine. The Training Officer shall hold a current Police Training Certificate from the State of Ohio and shall be subordinate to the Chief of Police.
