(A) Generally.
(1) The position of Village Clerk-Treasurer Trainee is hereby created for the village for the purpose of training the Village Clerk-Treasurer Elect during the period between the month after election day through the end of the current Clerk-Treasurer’s term, which ends on March 31, of the year following the election.
(2) The duties:
(a) To become familiar with all responsibilities of the Clerk-Treasurer position; and
(b) To become familiar with the operation of the Utilities Department.
(B) Compensation.
(1) The rate of pay the position of Trainee Clerk-Treasurer will be at rate of 80% of the current base salary of the Clerk-Treasurer, with no stipends.
(2) The hours per week will be determined by the Clerk-Treasurer, with a maximum of 33.5 hours per week.
(C) Benefits. There will be no benefits during this time except retirement benefits as spelled out in the Ohio Revised Code.
