(A) The Volunteer Fire Department shall be under the supervision and direction of the Chief, and such Department shall consist of such membership, and adopt and promulgate such rules and regulations as the membership shall determine, subject to the acceptance and approval of the Chief and the Town Council.

(B) The Town Council shall determine and establish the monetary compensation and other compensatory benefits for the Chief and the other members of the Volunteer Fire Department, and said Council may from time to time alter, amend and change said compensation and benefits as allowed by law.
