For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
PARK AMENITY. Any improvement, other than a park facility, provided by the Parks and Recreation Department for public use.
PARK FACILITY. Any standing structure, open or enclosed, and its furnishings located within any town park.
PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT. The town’s Parks and Recreation Department, which can be represented by the Superintendent of Parks and Recreation and/or the town’s Park Board.
TOWN PARK. All lawns, fields, playgrounds, recreation facilities, greenways, water areas, nature preserves or other recreation areas, including any adjacent public parking areas as well as the driveways, entranceways or pedestrian walkways used by the public to access the aforementioned areas, developed or undeveloped, and all structures thereon, owned, operated, leased or managed by the town.
