§ 10.44.040 LICENSE RECEIPT AND BICYCLE PLATE ISSUANCE.
   At the time that any person submits adequate proof of ownership thereof, the Police Department shall provide him or her with a license receipt bearing the owner's name, address, telephone number, bicycle plate number, the bicycle manufacturer, type and frame number and any other descriptive material concerning the bicycle deemed necessary by the Police Department for identification purposes, and provisions for the transfer of ownership of such bicycle. The bicycle owner also shall be issued a permanent bicycle plate bearing the unique number permanently assigned to that bicycle by the state. The bicycle license shall remain in effect for an initial period expiring December 31, 1978, and may thereafter be renewed for successive periods of three (3) years each.
