It shall be unlawful for any person other than an officer of the law while on duty to discharge any rifle, pistol or gun of any kind within the city except in target shooting in a shooting gallery regularly licensed by the city; and it shall be unlawful for any person to shoot or discharge any air gun, spring gun, slingshot or any other similar device within the city.
