(A) Brazil Housing Authority. The City of Brazil Housing Authority shall exist pursuant to I.C. 36-7-18, and shall be administered by 5 Commissioners appointed by the Mayor.

(B) Terms of office. The terms of office of the Commissioners shall be governed by I.C. 36-7-18-7 and may be removed from office pursuant to I.C. 36-7-18-9.

(C) Purpose of Housing Authority. The purpose of the Housing Authority is the clearance, re-planning and reconstruction of areas in which unsanitary or unsafe housing conditions exist, and the providing of safe and sanitary dwelling accommodations for persons of low income.
