§ 30.022  ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION.
   (A)   The Brazil Economic Development Commission shall consist of 5 appointed by the Mayor. One shall be nominated by the Clay County Council and 1 shall be nominated by the Brazil Common Council, pursuant to I.C. 36-7-12-5.
   (B)   The Economic Development Commissioners shall take office upon their appointment, and their terms run from February 1 after their original appointment, for a period of:
      (1)   Two Commissioners selected by the Mayor shall serve for 3 years. One Commissioner selected by the Mayor shall serve for 1 year;
      (2)   One Commissioner, if nominated by the Common Council, shall serve for 2 years; and
      (3)   One Commissioner, if nominated by the Common Council, shall serve for 1 year.
   (C)   The Economic Development Commission shall exercise the powers granted in pursuant to I.C. 36-7-12 for the furtherance of economic, business, commercial, recreational, health and manufacturing development; the abatement and/or control of harmful pollution; and development and improvement for development and any financing attendant thereto.
