(A) Any person who becomes apprised of the death of any animal owned by him or her within the city shall, within 6 hours thereafter, cause the same to be removed and buried or disposed of so as not to become a nuisance.
(B) When the animal is killed by any other person than its owner, if the person so killing it is known, the owner shall not be compelled to remove it as provided above, but it shall be removed by the person killing it.
