§ 90.40  DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   ADEQUATE FIRE FIGHTING EQUIPMENT.  Equipment sufficient and appropriate under the circumstances to extinguish a fire.
   CEREMONIAL FIRE.  A fire set for the purpose of celebrating an event, such as an athletic victory, special church holiday or other special occasion; an example being a bonfire.
   CLEAN PETROLEUM PRODUCTS.  An uncontaminated refined petroleum product, such as kerosene, lighter fluid, charcoal lighter fluid or diesel fuel, not previously used in any application.
   CLEAN WOOD PRODUCTS.  Wood or wood products, including vegetation, that are not coated with stain, paint, glue or other coating material.
   GARBAGE.  All organic household waste, offal, animal and vegetable matter whose prepared or intended use is as food, condemned foodstuffs and materials, and substances, materials and things ordinarily disposed of in containers and/or incinerators by hotels, restaurants, stores, hospitals, apartment houses and private dwellings.
   MATERIALS CONTAINING ASBESTOS.  Materials such as asphalt, roofing shingles, vinyl siding, insulation, plastics, wiring, floor tile or any other matter or material with which asbestos is attached to, added to or made a part of that matter or material.
   OPEN BURNING.  The burning of any materials wherein air contaminants resulting from combustion are emitted directly into the air without passing through a stack, chimney, duct or pipe, from an enclosed chamber, and includes above ground or underground smoldering fires, including, but not limited to, household trash, garbage, refuse, outdoor waste, foliage, branches, leaves, plastic and building materials, waste materials and waste substances, tires, treated wood, materials containing asbestos, clean petroleum products, clean wood products, paper and charcoal.
   PUBLIC NUISANCE.  An occurrence, act, course of conduct or use of property, which interferes with the rightful use and enjoyment of the property of others, or injurious to health, or indecent or offensive to the senses of persons within the neighborhood, the entire community or the public generally.
   RECREATIONAL FIRE.  A fire set for the purpose of a cookout, barbeque or a fire set for the purpose of cooking or preparing food for human consumption, or a campfire used for Boy or Girl Scouting purposes or in relation with scouting activities or historical re-enactments.
   TREATED WOOD.  Wood or wood products coated or saturated with arsenic, chromium, copper or creosote.
