(A) The operator of a vehicle shall not overtake and pass on the left of any street or interurban car proceeding in the same direction, whether actually in motion or temporarily at rest.
(B) The operator of a vehicle overtaking any street or interurban car stopped or about to stop for the purpose of receiving or discharging any passenger shall stop the vehicle at a distance not less than 6 feet from the rear thereof and shall keep the vehicle stationary until any passenger has boarded the vehicle or reached a place of safety, except that where a safety zone has been established, a vehicle need not be stopped before passing any vehicle, but may proceed past the vehicle with due caution for the safety of pedestrians.
(C) The drivers in meeting other vehicles shall pass to the right thereof and in overtaking other vehicles shall pass on the left side of the vehicle overtaken.
