(A) Upon the submission of the written request, the Board shall advertise for and hold a public hearing on the request which shall be open to the public. Published notice of the hearing shall be placed in a newspaper of general circulation within the city pursuant to I.C. 5-3-1.
(B) At the conclusion of the public hearing, the Board shall determine whether to approve or deny the request and so indicate its reasons for its decision. A majority of the Board is necessary for approval of the request.
