§ 53.058  CONNECTIONS TO WATER MAIN ON MAIN WATER PIPE; SPRINKLING.
   (A)   It shall be unlawful for any person, except a duly authorized agent of the Waterworks, to make or attempt to make any extension of, or connection with, or tap to any main, distributing pipe or service pipe of the Waterworks system by which water is furnished by the Waterworks to any consumer, whether the main or pipe is owned by the city or private individuals.

   (B)   (1)   The use of water for sprinkling purposes must be limited to 4 hours per day, from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. and from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the evening. The use of water for sprinkling purposes outside of these hours is positively prohibited. Sprinkling shall be by hand only and the use of automatic sprinklers or a hose fixed on a support is positively prohibited.
      (2)   During all alarms of fire and while the fire pressure is on the pipe, the use of water for yard or street sprinkling is positively prohibited, and violation of either of these rules will forfeit the right to use of the water at the option of the Waterworks.
