Pursuant to the provisions of Ohio R.C. 731.231, the 2011 Ohio Fire Code, save and except such portions thereof as may be hereinafter amended or deleted, promulgated by the State of Ohio Fire Marshal, is hereby adopted by the Village and incorporated by reference as if fully set out herein. The purpose of the 2011 Ohio Fire Code, as adopted herein, is to prescribe regulations consistent with nationally recognized good practice for the safeguarding to a reasonable degree of life and property from the hazards of fire and explosion arising from the storage, handling and use of hazardous substances, materials and devices, and from conditions hazardous to life or property in the use or occupancy of buildings or premises. Compliance with standards of the State of Ohio Fire Marshal or other approved nationally recognized standards shall be deemed to be prima-facie evidence of compliance with this intent.
