For purposes of this chapter, unless the context requires otherwise:
(a) “Garbage” means every waste or refuse of fruit, vegetable or animal matter, or other solid or liquid kitchen waste materials resulting from the preparation and handling of any food and/or drink, or the cooking of, processing of, dealing in or storage of meat, fish, fowl, fruit or vegetables.
(b) “Mechanical garbage disposer” means a motorized device suitable for installation in direct connection with a kitchen sink, which grinds garbage to such a size as to be readily waterborne and discharges such ground garbage directly into a sanitary sewerage system.
(c) “Dwelling unit” means a single-family residence, or flat, suite or apartment in a two-family residence or multiple-family residence building.
