1161.02 USE REGULATIONS.
   Buildings and land shall be used and buildings shall be designed, erected, altered, moved or maintained in Neighborhood Commercial Districts (NC) only for the uses set forth in this chapter.
(a)    Types of Uses. The categories of principal uses permitted in an NC District are the following but only when primarily serving or designed to primarily attract the individual consumer in the immediately surrounding area:
(1)    Personal and household needs shops, for example, drugstores or convenience food stores.
(2)    Personal service establishments, for example, beauty and barber shops, banks, dry cleaning drop-off and pick-up stations, etc.
(3)    Custom goods shops, such as shops for custom work or the making or finishing of articles for personal or residential use to be sold only at retail on the premises provided that no more than five persons shall be engaged in any such establishment and no work shall be done on the premises for sales or service to outlets elsewhere. Examples of uses in this category include bake shops, dressmakers, etc.
(b)    Each establishment in an NC District shall be limited to a maximum gross floor area of 5,000 square feet.
(c)    In an NC District, all permitted principal uses shall be conducted wholly within enclosed buildings. No drive-in commercial facilities and no outside sale, storage or display of goods, supplies or equipment shall be permitted.
