(a) "Dwelling unit" means one or more rooms in a dwelling which are arranged, designed, used or intended for occupancy by one family maintaining a common household, and which includes lawful cooking space and lawful sanitary facilities reserved for the occupants thereof.
(b) "Dwelling" means a building which is arranged, designed, used or intended exclusively for residential use and permitted accessory uses.
(c) "One-family dwelling" means a dwelling consisting of a single dwelling unit with the main entrance to its living quarters at ground level; it may be detached from any other dwelling or attached by a common fireproof wall or walls to one or more other one-family dwellings. One-family dwellings may be arranged in sequences or in any horizontal combinations of groups, courts or clusters.
(d) "Townhouse" means a one-family dwelling which is part of a sequence of one- family dwellings, attached by a common fireproof wall or walls and arranged in one building of any shape, determined by an approved plan.
(e) "Multi-family dwelling" means a dwelling, other than a townhouse, containing three or more dwelling units on the same lot with the number of families not exceeding the number of dwelling units, as determined by an approved plan.
