1111.02 GENERAL TERMS.
   (a)    The phrase "used for" includes "arranged for", "designed for", "intended for", "maintained for" or "occupied for".
   (b)    All words used in the singular shall include the plural, and all words used in the present tense shall include the future tense, unless the context clearly indicates the contrary.
   (c)    "County" means County of Cuyahoga, Ohio.
   (d)    "Village" means the Village of Bratenahl, Ohio.
   (e)    "Commission" means the Planning Commission of the Village of Bratenahl, Ohio.
   (f)    "Council" means the legislative body of the Village of Bratenahl.
   (g)    "Board" means the Board of Zoning Appeals.
   (h)    "Commissioner" means the Commissioner of Buildings of the Village of Bratenahl.
   (i)    "Clerk" means the duly acting and qualified Clerk of the Village of Bratenahl.
   (j)   "Person" includes an individual, firm, association, corporation, trust, or any other legal entity, including his or its agents.
   (k)    "Developer" means a person commencing proceedings under this Code to effect a subdivision or development of land for himself or for another.
   (l)    "Code" means the Land Planning and Zoning Code.
   (m)    "Regulation" means a rule, restriction or other mandatory provision in this Code intended to control, require or prohibit an act.
   (n)    "Standard" means a test, measure, model or example of quantity, extent or quality.
   (o)    "Criterion" means a principle by which the planning of a subdivision or development area shall be guided.

   (p)    "Occupant", for purposes of residential uses, shall mean any person over one year of age who lives, sleeps, cooks or eats in, or has actual possession of, a dwelling unit used for such purpose for a period of thirty days or longer.
