(a) No person shall, by carelessness or negligence, destroy or damage any fire hydrant, curbstone, sidewalk, tree, tree lawn, truck or automobile or any part thereof, guardrail, fence, street sign, street signpost, warning sign, traffic control signal or any part thereof, any building or part thereof or any other equipment or property belonging to the Village.
(b) Whoever violates this section shall be guilty of a minor misdemeanor for the first offense and a fourth degree misdemeanor for a subsequent offense.
