(a) Full time employees are granted time away from work with pay for jury duty service. A copy of the jury summons must be presented to the Mayor within forty-eight (48) hours of receipt so ample time is provided to make scheduling adjustments. Any hours spent attending jury duty shall be considered hours worked for purposes of computing overtime, sick time, and vacation time.
(b) If an employee's jury duty pay or compensation during such leave of absence is less than the employee's Village pay would have been for the same period, the employee will be paid by the Village the difference in money between the Village pay and the jury duty pay for such period.
