149.01 HOLIDAYS.
   All full-time officers and employees of the Village shall be entitled to thirteen paid holidays (or 104 paid holiday hours for 12-hour employees) throughout the year as follows: January 1; Presidents Day; Martin Luther King Day; Good Friday; Memorial Day; Juneteenth; July 4; First Monday in September; Veterans Day; Thanksgiving Day; December 25th; and two days to be taken as desired by the employee with the approval of the department head. No additional holiday shall be given without the approval of Council. In addition, with the approval of the Mayor and the appropriate department head, once a year in December, a full-time employee may be paid in cash for up to five (5) unused paid holidays of the thirteen (13) permitted in one year.
