Whoever violates the provisions of this Chapter shall be subject to the following:
(a) A first warning will be made to the individual to cease the offensive behavior.
(b) If the behavior continues after the first warning:
(1) In the case of a Village employee, a meeting will be held within five (5) business days with the employee and his/her direct supervisor and/or the Village Solicitor. Depending upon the severity of the behavior, discipline up to and including termination may be recommended and/or may result.
(2) Members of the audience at a public meeting will be ruled out of order by the Presiding Officer; if such member persists, they will be requested and/or ordered to leave the meeting.
(3) An elected official will be ruled out of order by the Presiding Officer and, upon the concurrence of two-thirds (2/3) of the remaining members of the Council or of the Committee, if such elected official persists, they will be requested and/or ordered to leave the meeting.
(4) A Villager resident volunteer will be relieved of their volunteer responsibilities. (Ord. 3782. Passed 9-17-14.)
