Each member of the Council shall have resided in the Village one (1) year immediately preceding the member's election, and shall be an elector of the Village. As provided in either the Ohio Revised Code and/or Chapter 127 of the Codified Ordinances, no member of the Council shall hold any other public office, be interested in any contract with the Village, or hold other employment with the Village, except that such member may be a notary public or a member of the state militia. Any member who ceases to possess any of such qualifications or who moves from the Village shall forfeit the office.
